User Guide

Ready to mint your tokens? Use this guide to explore Hermetica's offerings.

Getting Started

Configure your Wallet

First things first, you need a Stacks (STX) compatible wallet in order to use Hermetica. We recommend using Leather or Xverse.

After making your choice, you need to follow the wallet-specific instructions provided on screen to finish your set-up. After completing your wallet set-up, you need to make sure you have the wallet’s browser extension installed on your browser of choice.

At this time, Hermetica only supports browser extension wallets.

Acquire stSTX

As Hermetica's current product offering is backed by stSTX, you will need stSTX in your wallet to use the app. There are 2 places to get stSTX:

  • StackingDao: The creator of the stSTX Liquid Stacking Protocol. Stack STX to get stSTX.

  • Bitflow Finance: A DEX where you can swap other crypto assets for stSTX.

Experience Hermetica

With stSTX in your wallet you're now ready to use the app. You can access the app at app.hermetica.fi.

Hermetica currently offers the stSTXearn token and strategy. The Hermetica stSTXearn token offers attractive returns across market regimes while limiting downside. In our opinion, it is the ideal strategy to earn a consistent risk-adjusted yield on your Stacks.

Mint your Token

All you need to do to mint your token is enter the amount of stSTX you want to deposit. When you've entered the desired amount, use the button underneath to initiate your deposit. You will be prompted by your wallet to sign your transaction and confirm your deposit.

Hermetica operates on a cadence defined by epochs. For the stSTXearn strategy, epochs are weekly. The weekly cycle means that deposits can be queued at any time, but they will only be processed by the strategy at the end of the nearest Epoch.

Claim your Token

When the current epoch has passed and your deposit has been processed, it is time to claim your stSTXearn token.

To do so, navigate to the portfolio tab to view your open position. You can use the 'claim' button to claim your minted stSTXearn tokens.

This token allows you to trade between open positions freely and participate across DeFi.

Withdrawals

The process for withdrawals is very similar to minting tokens.

You will choose "Withdraw" from the app, enter the amount of stSTX you would like to withdraw, use the button to initiate your withdrawal, and sign the transaction to confirm the withdrawal.

Withdrawals are also subject to the weekly cadence of Hermetica epochs; withdrawals can be queued at any time but will only be processed at the end of the nearest epoch.

When the next epoch has passed and your withdrawal has been processed, it is time to claim your stSTX token.

To do so, navigate to the portfolio tab to view your open position. You can use the 'claim' button to claim your stSTX.
